On May 19th Enjoy International Consultants was officially accepted as an associate member of the Asociacion de Maquiladoras de Sonora (AMS). AMS is a non-profit organization comprised of Maquiladora manufacturing and service companies with business interests throughout the Mexican state of Sonora. The association is comprised of 150+ members in various industries ranging from medical devices, pc boards and automobile components.
Along with representing the business interests of member organizations, the association also serves as a platform for community development throughout the state of Sonora. The funds that have been raised through various donations and charity events sponsored by the association have been used to support local orphanages, build medical clinics that provide free health care to the families of Maquiladora employees as well as infrastructure projects that modernize the cities within the border region.
Through AMS, Enjoy International Consultants seeks to strengthen the economic ties between North America and China by facilitating cooperation between AMS and Chinese companies. While most AMS companies are looking to expand their sourcing operations to China, Chinese companies are looking to establish partnerships with AMS companies as a means of entering the North American marketplace.
Asked to comment on Enjoy International Consultants’ acceptance to AMS, CEO Adam-Paul Smolak stated “We are proud to be a member of AMS. Through our membership, we hope to help AMS and its members facilitate strategic relationships with Chinese organizations. We are also very excited about supporting the various community development projects that has made AMS an integral part of the Mexican community.”
