Principal Consultant

Adam Fairbanks has worked in the public health field since 2006. He has worked for non-profits, local and tribal government, and the private sector developing programs designed to serve marginalized communities. Adam assists agencies to develop sustainable program models designed to address public health emergencies affecting his community.

Adam holds a Bachelor's Degree from Metropolitan State University, with a individualized focus on harm reduction and public health. 


Project Consultant

Emily Bastian has been working as a social worker, in the areas of emergency shelter, transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, mental health case management and substance use treatment, for more than 20 years. Currently in a leadership role in the community, Emily oversees a continuous of programming from Housing to Chemical and Mental Health.  Ms. Bastian provides clinical supervision to individuals needing it toward Board Licensure.  

Ms. Bastian holds a Master of Social Work Degree from Augsburg University, with an emphasis in Family Practice. She has served as a nominating committee member for the Minnesota Board of Social Work and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. Ms. Bastian has presented on topics ranging from Ethics and Boundaries to Harm Reduction and Housing First as a framework for housing individuals experiencing long-term homelessness, to a variety of professionals within the region. She has been an adjunct professor in the Master of Social Work program at Augsburg University since 2007, where she teaches Mental Health Diagnosis and Assessment, Diversity and Inequality, Advanced Practice Methods, Integrative Field Seminar, and Quantitative Research Methods. Emily also facilitates a dialogue group for MSW students. Her professional interests include providing clinical services to diverse populations, trauma-informed care and supervision, Harm Reduction and the Housing First Model.


Project Consultant

Carrie Johnson is a dedicated advocate for individuals experiencing homelessness.  Carrie’s professional goal is to end homelessness in the world by eradicating it one city at a time.  Carrie’s work includes 8 years of case management and leadership experience in the homelessness feild and another 12 years of experience in mental health.  Carrie has her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Grand View University and her master’s in social work from University of St.  Thomas.  Carrie is licensed as an independent clinical social worker and has been licensed since 2015.


Urban Planner

Craig Wilson brings twenty years of experience leading interdisciplinary teams of professional architects, engineers, real estate experts, attorneys, financial advisors, policy makers and business leaders through the design and development process. Craig specializes creating solutions for clients ranging from metropolitan agencies to multinational corporations to nongovernmental organization—furthering his client’s missions and project goals, while improving their bottom line. Craig holds duel masters degrees in Urban and Regional Planning and Landscape Architecture and is an adjunct faculty member of the University of Minnesota College of Design.
